Our Mission

We believe a clean and sustainable environment is crucial to our future. Through innovative technologies, sustainable design and active public engagement, TPEC provides civil and environmental engineering services to mitigate pollution, promote green infrastructure, and maintain a cleaner environment.

Our Team

Our staff is comprised of experienced professionals, many who have over 30 years of experience in the civil and environmental engineering fields. We also have staff with backgrounds in environmental management, environmental science, public policy, and planning.

TPEC is both a DBE and MBE firm, certified through the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

Historical Highlights

  • 1993: Provided design and construction oversight for NJ Superfund site remediation.
  • 1996: Officially certified as a MBE firm in the City of Philadelphia.
  • 1997: Designed security system upgrades for three major water treatment plants, six pumping stations, and three reservoirs for PWD.
  • 2010: Officially certified as an 8(a) firm by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and provided Waste Management Services for the U.S. Army Corp.
  • 2011: Commenced involvement with PWD’s Green City, Clean Waters program with the greening public transit infrastructure.
  • 2013: Maintained EPA warehouses for emergency response equipment in PA, MD, and WV.
  • 2015: Expanded involvement with SMIP and GARP grant initiatives to save owners millions of dollars in Stormwater Fees. TPEC also gets involved with Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) projects for geotechnical
  • 2016: Officially certified as a DBE firm by the PADGS.
  • 2019: Officially certified as a MBE firm by the NMSDC.
  • 2020: Continue to provide life-sustaining services through design and permitting support for upgrades to PWD facilities.
  • 2021: TPEC was certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) to participate in the Pennsylvania Unified Certification Program (PAUCP).
  • 2015 – 2022: TPEC supported AECOM and NV5 to provide geotechnical investigation services for the design of Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) systems at community parks and public streets to help implement the Green City, Clean Waters Program.
  • 2016 – 2022: TPEC continues to support Greeley and Hansen, WR&A and Atlas/ATC/BCM in the upgrade of City’s Northeast, Southeast and Southwest Water Pollution Control Plants, and Baxter, Belmont and Queen Lane Water Treatment Plants. Project scope included treatment facility and pump station upgrade, grit and sludge handling system study, site engineering, environmental assessment, and stormwater management.
  • 2017 – 2025: Our public engagement team was awarded a 4-year service contract with the Philadelphia Water Department in 2017 to plan, implement and grow long-lasting projects in support of the Green City, Clean Waters Program. The public engagement service contract was renewed in 2021 for another 4-year term until 2025. TPEC’s public engagement team continues to provide effective public outreach and education to help protect PWD’s infrastructure investments and Philadelphia watersheds.Our public engagement team was awarded a 4-year service contract with the Philadelphia Water Department in 2017 to plan, implement and grow long-lasting projects in support of the Green City, Clean Waters Program. The public engagement service contract was renewed in 2021 for another 4-year term until 2025. TPEC’s public engagement team continues to provide effective public outreach and education to help protect PWD’s infrastructure investments and Philadelphia watersheds.
  • 2026 – We are officially a licensed Local Business Enterprise (LBE) in Philadelphia, PA!
